There are so many NGOs who also do a very appreciable job of helping injured birds during these days. It is dangerous for bikers and so during the festival attach the wire rod on the bike to prevent entanglement of Manjha over the biker's neck. Also to be taken care of while flying a kite from the terrace means concentrate on your safety first especially kids' safety. Wear a finger cap while flying a kite.

International Kite Festival is celebrated every year on14th January, on the day of Makar Sankranti. In Tamil Nadu, the days celebrated as Pongal which is again a harvest festival and observed with great fervor in South India.
