Temples near to white desert of India

• You can also visit and pray at temples.  People of kutch are religious and devoted to God and most of the temples you find are the Vaishnavas.

• One of the beliefs that the Koteshwar Temple is an ancient Temple of Lord Shiva which holds from the time of Ravana.

• Do not forget to reach Mata No Madh which is the great temple of Aashapura Mataji that is popularly known as Mata No Madh and it is worshipped by so many believers. 

• Narayan Sarovar; is one of the five Holy Ponds according to the great  Shree Bhagavad Geeta

• Kalo Dunger or black hill is the highest point of Kutch and there is a temple of Dattatreya at the top; which also holds a belief that it is 400years old. There are two viewpoints that give a spectacular view of The White Desert.

How to Reach the white desert?

Decent Desert

Now question raised in mind that where is it just location of this tremendous festival organized and how to reach there?  By road or rail or air; the choice is yours. The White Runn Utsav is held in the DHORDO village of Kutcha and its is the easiest way gateway to Rann; located at a distance of 86km from Bhuj; it is well known and also connected to all the major cities of India. 

The nearest airport/railway station to Kutch is the city of Bhuj then hires a cab from Bhuj to reach Kutch. Bhirandiyara Village:- This is a Y junction at a distance of 55km from Bhuj Town. From this Y junction, the straight road from Bhuj goes towards Kalo Dungar and LH side road goes towards Hodka Village and White Desert(Saphed Rann); 30km. This is the Police Check Post Point and known as Bhirandiyara and a tourist facilitation center. Here you have to show your identity proof and pay fees, and also have to take a permit. If you forget to take a permit to visit white Rann. 

Entry Check Post At White Desert:- At this point, you have submitted your entry permit and on return from white desert you can collect these permits from them. An approximate 4km road from this entry check post will take you inside the white rann. Beauty:- On both sides of this road you can see water or white rann depending on the season you are there. Gujarat Tourism organizes Rann Utsav every year near this entry point. White Rann Tourist Season starts from October and continues till March and then closes because during hot seasons no one enters this area as heavy sand and wind flow here.
