As we know that Christmas is a great annual festival; celebrated every year, on December 25 as a cultural and religious festival in honor of the birth of Jesus Christ.

On 25th December billions of people around the world celebrate this blessing Christmas Day with more enthusiasm. The Son of God Jesus Christ was born to father Joseph and mother Mary in Bethlehem on this prestigious day.

People visit Church and offer prayers. The Christmas festival is especially celebrated by Christians with great joy. It is the birth anniversary of the great Jesus Christ, who is believed as Son Of God by the people of the Christian religion. The name Christmas comes from the mass of Christ(or Jesus).

People do lots of preparations much before Christmas day and decorate their homes with glorious lights, beautiful trees, decorative items, and flowers. People distribute gifts, Christmas cards, organize feasts, sweets, chocolates, etc; to the family members, friends, relatives, and neighbors, sing Christmas songs and carols on this occasion.

People love to wear beautiful clothes in this very special day. People wish- Merry Christmas to everyone. People always wait to welcome this blessing day every year. This year we will celebrate this wonderful ⇨ Christmas Festival is on 25th December, Thursday, 2025.

Santa Claus

The Greek meaning of X, Xmas, and Christmas essentially mean the same means Christ + mas = Christmas. It is a cultural holiday called winter solstice which will start this year, Monday, 22^nd December’25 and ends on Friday, 2^nd January’26 means a total of 12-days celebration.

The Portuguese word for Christmas is Natal. For your Knowledge, there is also Summer Solstice which occurs on 21^st June and is also known as the longest day of the year. 

There is an old tradition of distributing gifts by Santa Claus at midnight on Christmas to every child. It is believed that Santa comes to every house at the night and gives gifts to the children. Children eagerly wait for Santa to fulfill their wish. 

They also write their wish and hang it outside hoping Santa will come and fulfill their wishes. All Teachers dress as Santa Claus and distribute gifts to children and spread happiness and lots of joy. Christmas Day is a public holiday, and it is a day off for schools, general populations, etc; the area remains closed.

Thanksgiving– is an important holiday, celebrated annually on the fourth Thursday of November. Thanksgiving precedes- Black Friday and is traditionally to give thanks for the food collected after harvesting. (Thanksgiving / date: Thursday, November 27, 2025).
