➤ The HOLI - is celebrated on full moon day in the month of Fagun on Purnima.
➤ The Holi celebrations will begin on Sunday, 28 March 2021, and end on Monday, 29 March 2021.
➤ The Holi celebrations are the most famous festival of colors which is celebrated with utmost joy and symbolizes the victory of good over evil.
➤ People enjoy by rubbings of colors on each other’s body or face and chanting as “Bura Na Mano Holi Hai”.

What people to be done during the Holi celebrations in India?
➤ The Holi festival actually starts a day before colors rubbing and on Holi Eve, people light a bonfire i.e. Holika Dahan, and worship heartily.
➤ The story behind the Holi celebrations are; Prahlad-son of demon king Harniyakashipu was a devotee of Lord Vishnu. He disobeyed the orders of his evil father not to offer prayer to the Lord Vishnu. To teach Prahlad, a lesson he took with the help of his sister, Holika. So as planned, Holika sat on the bonfire with Prahlad but at last fire burnt Holika and Prahlad remained unaffected.
➤ And so Harniyakashipu became angry and decided to kill Prahlad anyhow and so started to break all pillars of his palace and out of it, suddenly from one pillar Lord Vishnu has come with the face of Narsinhma Avtar and killed demon king Harniyakashipu abjectly at the entrance of the palace.
➤ From this day celebration is held on as an honored, the Holi Celebrations as a festival of colors and colored water.
➤ This is an ancient Hindu festival and the Holi signifies the victory of good over evil.
➤ The Holi is celebrated as a day of spreading happiness and love.
➤ Secondly, the Holi also signifies the arrival of Spring Season after winter and so it is also celebrated as a thanksgiving for good harvesting.
