Significance of the Maha Shivratri in India.

  • ➤The Maha Shivratri is on 11th March, Thursday 2021 that is in the month of Magh as per Hindu Calander. 
  • ➤The Maha Shivratri is biggest than the other 12 Shivratri which are coming in a year so-known as Maha Shivratri. 
  • ➤The Maha Shivratri, the most famous Hindu festival mainly celebrated in India & Nepal which is celebrated with utmost joy and it symbolizes the worship of Lord Shiva. 
  • ➤As per ancient history, if we make fasting on this the Maha Shivratri, then we will get heaven at the end of life. 
  • ➤People like to do fasting all day during the Maha Shivratri, & they will eat baked potatoes, baked sweet potatoes, baked yam, etc. in place of full dish eating. 
  • ➤The Maha Shivratri comes on the new moon day and people get up early in the morning & take bathing, wear neat & clean clothes and firstly like to visit Shivalaya and bathing Linga and worship Lord Shiva heartily, chanting “Om Namah Shivay”. 
  • ➤Also, people like to do chanting this mantra all day during the Maha Shivratri.

➤Lord Shiva also is known as “Devo Ka Dev Mahadev” & “Bholenath” mean main Lord out of Lords. 

➤People like to offer Milk mixture of  Holy Ganga Water & Honey, Black Sesame & Black Sorely, Dry Dates, Datura Flower & Fruits, and other flowers and fruits and mainly Bael Leaf to Lord Shiva on this great the Maha Shivratri festival.

➤Even people also offer only pure water alone to Lord Shiva on this great Maha Shivratri.

➤The Maha Shivratri is a very special day as per Hinduism.
